About the event

Peace Boat first visited Ikhaya le Langa in 2014. For over a decade, it has fostered friendships, collected donations, and supported local businesses, including restaurants, craft enterprises, and community tourism initiatives. It remains the only cruise ship that visits Cape Town specifically to engage with a South African township, embodying its ethos of peace and cultural exchange.

Now, in its 11th year, Peace Boat is embarking on a new chapter with Langa, aiming to deepen its impact and create a more sustainable partnership. Join Tony Elvin, founder of Ikhaya le Langa, and Peace Boat’s Mezuan as they share insights on fragile communities, sustainability, and peace.
